Bleed Control Training

The #1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. As gun-homicide rates remain increasingly high each year, it is crucial for students (especially those living in urban areas) to know how to save themselves or those around them if they become victim to such injury.

Our Bleed Prevention Training

Using STOP THE BLEED® curriculum, we begin the lesson with a dialogue about the gun violence epidemic and how it has affected the student’s city. We then teach them how to prevent blood loss (massive hemorrhaging) from penetrating traumas (ie. gunshots or stab wounds); this includes how to use gauze and a tourniquet. Students will walk away with an Act First course completion certificate.
